370EX Series

Aruba 370EX Series hazardous location Wi-Fi 5 access points

Providing high-performance wireless connectivity and innovative capabilities, the resilient 370EX access point is easy to deploy and operate in hazardous locations.

For outdoor and environmentally challenging locations

The Aruba 370EX HazLoc Series APs deliver proven gigabit Wi-Fi and advanced client, location, and IoT support to meet the most demanding weather and temperature requirements.

Purpose-built to survive in the harshest environments

This high-performance 802.11ac Wave 2 access point is perfect for oil rigs, mining facilities, industrial plants, and networks that need to be protected from extreme temperatures, flammable gas, vapor, and dust concentrations.

Secure connectivity

The 370EX HazLoc Series APs come highly secured with the latest security standard WPA3 and Enhanced Open. End-to-end encryption is ensured through the Aruba Policy Enforcement Firewall, while Dynamic Segmentation automatically enforces consistent policies across wired and wireless networks.

The 370EX HazLoc Series APs include an integrated Bluetooth Low Energy radio to simplify the deployment and management of location services, asset tracking services, security solutions, and IoT sensors. This allows organizations to leverage the 370EX HazLoc Series APs as an IoT platform, which eliminates the need for an overlay infrastructure and additional IT resources.

Flexible management options

Available management solutions include Aruba Central (available in cloud-managed and on-premises options), as well as Aruba AirWave, which supports multi-vendor networks. Access points can be deployed with zero-touch provisioning to reduce deployment time, centralize configuration, and simplify inventory management.

Durable Wi-Fi 5 for hazardous locations

With Class 1 Division 2 and ATEX Zone 2 certifications, the Aruba 370EX HazLoc Series 802.11ac Wave 2 APs deliver hardened multi-gigabit Wi-Fi to hazardous locations.

Certified for extreme weather resiliency

Built for the harshest environments, the 370EX HazLoc Series APs are certified for IP66/67 (water- and dust-resistant) deployments.

High-performance and efficiency

A maximum aggregate data rate of over 2 Gbps, four spatial streams, and optional 160MHz channel bandwidth quickly add performance and capacity.

Intelligent app visibility and control

App visibility technology leverages deep-packet inspection to classify and block, prioritize, or limit bandwidth for 1000s of enterprise apps or groups of apps.

Advanced Cellular Coexistence (ACC)

Minimizes interference from 3G/4G cellular networks, distributed antenna systems, and commercial small cell/femtocell equipment.

MU-MIMO-aware ClientMatch

Performance benefits of MU-MIMO result in an increased network capacity and a boost in network efficiency, resolving sticky client issues.

Choose Your Operating Mode
The AP-370EX Series supports Aruba’s unique dual operating system capability called Unified mode. The APs can be deployed with a controller or run in Instant mode and readily switched to accommodate changing network needs.

    • Controller mode: When managed by Aruba Mobility Controllers, Aruba 370EX Series offers centralized configuration, data encryption, policy enforcement and network services, as well as distributed and centralized traffic forwarding, or
    • Controllerless (Instant) mode: In Aruba Instant mode, a single AP automatically distributes the network configuration to other Instant APs in the WLAN. Simply power-up one Instant AP, configure it over the air, and plug in the other APs – Instant Network.

Other functional modes include:

    • Remote AP (RAP) mode for branch deployments
    • Air monitor (AM) for wireless IDS, rogue detection and containment
    • Spectrum analyzer, dedicated or hybrid, for identifying sources of RF interference
    • Secure enterprise mesh
    • Hybrid AP serves Wi-Fi clients and provides wireless intrusion protection and spectrum analysis.

For large installations across multiple sites, the Aruba Activate service significantly reduces deployment time by automating device provisioning, firmware upgrades, and inventory management. With Aruba Activate, Unified APs are factory-shipped to any site and configure themselves when powered up.
